We are holding tryouts for our indoor competition team this Thursday and Friday from 4-7pm in the SHS Band Room. There will be a team officer at the front gate guiding students to the band room both days. You must attend both days of tryouts to be considered. This is open to all 8th grade students.

“IEP Binder for Parents” Webinar
Parents will create an organizational binder of educationally relevant documentation and activities that will assist in maintaining records and promoting positive communication 

In this session, the binder will be utilized so that parents can be prepared, actively listen and become an informed voice during IEP meetings.  Parents will possess the “tools of the trade” allowing them to actively engage in the planning of their child’s educational career and be equal members of the IEP Team. Transportation changes are extremely difficult in the first few days. ⚠️ Important: Expect possible bus delays during the first couple of weeks as routes are adjusted and stops are verified. 🚙 The same goes for the parent pick-up line. Mr. Ward has been reviewing the data, and the message is clear—students who show up, grow up academically! 💡
Take a look at the numbers:
👉 Students with 0–5 absences had an average GPA of 3.0
👉 Students with 6–9 absences averaged 2.68
👉 Students with 10–15 absences averaged 2.73
👉 Students with 16+ absences dropped to 2.14

🏈💪 Update: Hill-Gustat Middle School Football Conditioning
We’ve made a change to football conditioning! Starting this Friday, conditioning will now take place Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:00–4:30 PM in the HGM gym.
This move indoors ensures our athletes can continue to train safely no matter the heat or rain! ☀️🌧️
🔷 Parents: Please continue to send your athletes with water bottles to help them stay hydrated.
